About the Course
Intraoral Photogrammetry is the most accurate technique for the three-dimensional recording of multiple dental implants, and it is applied equally effectively in cases of both full and partial edentulism. The precise spatial relationship between the implants is critical for the passive fit of a prosthetic restoration. A problematic fit can lead to both mechanical problems (loosening or fracture of screws/components) and biological complications (peri-implantitis, bone loss).
Until recently, photogrammetry relied exclusively on extraoral cameras, with no information on the soft tissues or adjacent teeth, something that required an additional intraoral scan or a conventional impression. The new generation of intraoral scanners removes this limitation, simultaneously recording the position of the implants and the detailed topography of the surrounding tissues, while also being significantly more affordable than traditional systems.

Hands-On Practice
After the lecture concludes, participants will have the opportunity for hands-on practice, scanning with the intraoral scanners and applying the technique of intraoral photogrammetry. The practice will be carried out on models representing real patient cases that will have already been presented during the lecture.

Petros Yuvanoglu, DDS
Dr. Yuvanoglu earned his dental degree from Semmelweis University in Budapest in 1998 and trained as a Specialist Prosthodontist at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he now holds an Adjunct Faculty appointment.He is Clinical Assistant Professor of Restorative Science and Materials at Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine, and co-founder of both the SameDay Dental Implants Clinic in Dubai and the American Institute of Modern Dental Education (AIMDE).A well-known international lecturer, Dr. Yuvanoglu specializes in immediate loading and osseodensification techniques, and serves as International Faculty for the Osseodensification Academy.
